ART STUDIO HAUGHWOUT

Hello my name is Peter Haughwout I am a recently retired Art teacher from Long Island and have had many great years of working with amazing young artists and creative people. Teaching Art has been one of the joys of my life, but I felt that it was time for a new adventure.

 

It has been fun exploring the many different ideas I have had over the years. The real challenge has been which direction to take. So for now, I have decided to just play around with clay. I like ideas that both challenge and amuse me.

 

I have always been a mostly 3 dimensionally orientated artist teaching sculpture and stage design throughout my career.  I also love to draw and paint and have recently taken classes in pottery (primarily throwing on the wheel) as well as print making.

 

With encouragement from friends and family I have decided to share some of these creations, as you will see.
